Uchazeči podávají přihlášku ke studiu ve studijním programu elektronickou formou prostřednictvím Informačního systému Univerzity obrany v Brně. V rámci přijímacího řízení jsou uchazeči na základě jejich zájmu předurčeni pro studium v jednotlivých specializacích. K potvrzení tohoto předurčení a definitivnímu zařazení studentů do specializace dochází po druhém semestru studia na základě upřesněného požadavku Ministerstva obrany České republiky na počty absolventů jednotlivých specializací a výsledků, kterých studenti v průběhu dosavadního studia dosáhli. Podmínkou přijetí ke studiu je úspěšně ukončené středoškolské studium s maturitou a složení přijímací zkoušky.

Přijímací zkouška zpravidla zahrnuje:

  • test studijních předpokladů,
  • ověření tělesné zdatnosti uchazeče,
  • test z jazyka anglického.

Podmínkou přijetí uchazečů, kteří nejsou vojáky v činné službě, je splnění předpokladů pro přijetí do služebního poměru vojáka z povolání (zdravotní způsobilost, opis z rejstříku trestů). Podmínkou přijetí uchazečů, kteří jsou vojáky v činné službě, je vyslání k vojenskému prezenčnímu studiu příslušným služebním orgánem Ministerstva obrany České republiky.

The study program is purpose-built for the benefit of the Ministry of Defense (MO) and the Czech Army. It is a professional study program focused on the preparation of future military professionals which takes into account the requirements put on officer of the Czech Army. The principles of the career management within the Czech Army do not correspond to the way of education in structured study programs. Therefore the Czech Army requires educating and training of future officers in an unstructured continuous five-year master's study program which ensures their comprehensive preparation and optimal acquisition of all the required knowledge, skills and competencies. In accordance with the MO's conceptual materials, the education in a comprehensive five-year Master's degree program will provide training needs and requirements for professional soldiers. The training of military professionals is also very specific with regard to the future positions, apart from traditional higher education subjects, military training, practical internships, foreign language teaching, general and special physical training are also included throughout the program. The study program is realized in close cooperation with the departments, units and facilities of the Czech Army. The teaching is attended by practitioners - experienced professional soldiers who are temporarily assigned to the University of Defense (UO). In order to transfer of practical knowledge, they are regularly replaced by members of the Czech Army, or other parts of MO.

The aim of the study program is to prepare future officers, especially key command personnel for the needs of the armed forces of the Czech Republic (CR). In addition to the formation of cross-curricular and specialized professional knowledge and skills, the study program provides students with the competencies needed and usable in the sphere of defense and national security at national and international (alliance) level. During study, students are getting ready to act at the basic and medium tactical level of command and control and to lead interdisciplinary and multinational teams in today's complex security environment, characterized by cultural differences and diversity.

 

The study program is designed with respect to the standards of the Master's degree program in the field of Security Studies. For the curriculum the main thematic areas are:

  • conduct of military and non - military operations;
  • security threats of military and non-military nature.

The study program is designed as a study program with the following specializations:

  • Commander of artillery units,
  • Engineering units commander,
  • Commander of mechanized and tank units,
  • Military logistics,
  • Military transport,
  • Commander of the reconnaissance units,
  • Intelligent support of the Czech Army,
  • Information resource management,
  • Commander of chemical units,
  • Air force staff officer,
  • Human resource management,
  • Financial resources management.

 

The study program also took into account the experience of the implementation of study programs focused on the preparation of future officers for the Czech Army, in particular the Master's degree in Control and Use of the Armed Forces. It also took into account the approaches and experience of selected NATO and EU Member States to further training of future officers as well as the NATO / PfP reference curriculum of the Generic Officer Professional Military Education Reference Curriculum. The graduate gains the competencies needed to act as key personnel of the Czech Armed Forces, in particular the Czech Army, a career officer, commander capable of leading soldiers and capable of preparing a unit for combat and lead combat activities or providing specialized personnel activities. The common part is namely:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of principles of military operations:
    • the moral value of the military profession and the ethical code of the military professional,
    • historical events and facts recognized as the tradition of the Czech (Czechoslovak) armed forces,
    • the historical context of major war campaigns and military operations,
    • wars and conflicts classification,
    • the basic division of military art and the links between its components,
    • the division of military operations and their characteristics,
    • the character of peacekeeping operations,
    • the command and control system of the unit and the place and role of the commander in it,
    • the principles of preparation and use of units to the company level,
    • decision-making processes and their application in military environments,
    • approaches to organization management and their application to military units,
    • the basics of leadership and their relationship to practical command and control,
    • leading people in both normal and stressful situations,
    • application of interpersonal communication,
    • psychological aspects of stress management,
  • knowledge of security threats at national, regional and global level, their context and causes:
    • development of security environment in historical context,
    • the historical, cultural, military, political and other contexts of the development of security threats in the current security environment, their causes and consequences,
    • the milestones of the development of Czech statehood and their importance in the context of historical development,
    • the starting points, purpose, ambitions and tools of the Czech Republic's security and defense policy,
    • the principles of the defense and security of the Czech Republic and the relation of the Czech Republic to the system of international relations,
    • the foundations of international humanitarian law (martial law),
    • the basic organizational structure of the Czech Armed Forces and the structure of NATO and the EU,
    • requirements on the institutional framework of the Czech Republic's security and defense policy,
    • the basics of crisis management in the Czech Republic and the role of the armed forces in it,
  • methods and tools usable in commander´s decision-making, including methods and tools applicable to decision-making in situations characterized by a high level of risk and uncertainty,
  • the role of risk management, the general procedure for risk analysis, the determination of the scope and objectives of risk analysis and the methods of collecting input data,
  • priorities in decision-making processes and decision-making rules for risks and uncertainties, possibilities and limitations of risk assessments, including basic methods of descriptive and inductive statistics, methods for collecting real data and creating data files for statistical analysis,
  • knowledge of specific military specialization / expertise - principles of preparation and use of a specific component of the armed forces at a tactical level in the spectrum required by the Ministry of Defense / Czech Army.

b) professional skills:

  • discus the mission, role and use of the armed forces in the implementation of the security and defense policy of the Czech Republic,
  • assess the context of historically significant military operations and the role of bearers in military history,
  • apply knowledge of traditions of the armed forces into the education and training of subordinates,
  • manages military units,
  • apply the planning and control procedures for the preparation and deployment of the military unit in operations up to the level of the company,
  • proposes decisions related to unit management, including situations characterized by timing, uncertainty and risk,
  • leads the preparation and use of specific components,
  • leads the subordinates, including the management of the subordinates in stressful situations within operations,
  • is able to lead the unit in possible non-military crisis situations in favor of an integrated rescue system,
  • use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication when leading subordinates,
  • apply moral values ??and ethical decision-making principles in their behavior and subordinate management,
  • apply appropriate tools and methods to motivate subordinates,
  • controls ways to eliminate negative consequences of stress on subordinates,
  • recognizes inadequate responses to the stress and encourages their effective coping with subordinates,
  • apply knowledge of traditions of the armed forces in the education and training of subordinates,
  • solves decision problems,
  • apply and use the appropriate decision and management styles,
  • uses qualitative and quantitative methods for solving decision-making problems in conditions of uncertainty and risk,
  • proposes risk prevention and assesses the effectiveness of the measures taken,
  • handles the danger and endangered asset register, hazard and risk analysis for the protection of troops, populations, property and the environment.

c) general competencies:

  • respect and promote the shared values ??of free civil society and the armed forces of a modern democratic state,
  • ability to work within teams, readiness to take on different roles in a group and act in accordance with these roles,
  • ability to apply acquired knowledge and skills creatively and critically and in a context that reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the contemporary security environment,
  • understand the need for lifelong learning, the ability to plan and organize your own lifelong learning
  •        and lifelong learning of subordinates,
  • readiness to act in an international and culturally diverse or diverse environment,
  • recognize and solvi dilemmas arising from professional duties of military service,
  • ability to communicate in English at a working level (B1), at a basic level in another world language,
  • physical fitness and psychological resilience and ability to cope with the stress of military service.

Depending on the chosen specialization, graduates acquire further expertise, professional skills and general competencies.

In the specialization Commander of artillery units:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of the principles of artillery use in combat across the range of operations and tactical activities:
    • knowledge of shooting rules and firefighting of ground artillery,
    • knowledge of the command and control system organization of the artillery units,
    • the basics of meteorology, atmospheric characteristics and meteorological elements and conditions of normal artillery atmosphere,
    • the basics of internal and external ballistics,
    • knowledge of the basics of the theory of shooting.
  • knowledge of the land forces targeting process and its application in the planning and decision-making process in a full spectrum of operations, operational planning principles,
  • knowledge of legal norms, conventions and legislation of armed conflict in relation to the execution of firing support tasks:
    • knowledge of the internal regulations for training sessions and military exercises in artillery units,
    • knowledge of forms and methods of training and training of artillery units and the principles of its evaluation,
  • knowledge of the design, and operation of Artillery assets used within the Czech Army:
    • knowledge of the technical preparation of works and mortars for shooting,
    • knowledge of the basic characteristics of artillery ammunition and rules for the handling of ammunition.

b) professional skills:

  • command and expertly control the operation of artillery units to the level of the battery with the necessary overlap on the artillery division,
  • process and issue orders, and commands to perform firing support tasks in oral, written and graphic form,
  • evaluate the capabilities of artillery units, perform basic calculations of their capabilities, and make proposals for their use,
  • fully orientate in the issue of the execution of the tasks of firing troops support,
  • identify information about targets and organize their collection and evaluation,
  • process planning, management and reporting documentation to conduct training of artillery units,
  • control the established automated artillery fire control system and IS VS PozS and other application software introduced by artillery units,
  • determine the elements for firing of artillery units using the means introduced in the Czech Army,
  • control shooting targets and effective firing of artillery units, safely handling established artillery ammunition.

c) general competencies:

  • is able to search for the information necessary for his / her professional activity and skillfully use it to accomplish the task,
  • is able to use established techniques and procedures to perform professional tasks in accordance with their capabilities and limitations and to use these skills in planning and performing professional tasks,
  • is capable of performing the function of a firing judge on all types of artillery weapons.

 

In the Specialization Engineering units commander:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of the planning and management principles of engineering support tasks in joint operations:
    • knowledge of basic TTD and the possibility of using engineering equipment, fundamentals in assembly of engineer equipment,
    • knowledge of the engineer ammunitions application principles, properties, constructions, security measures in the handling of engineer munitions, evidence, transport and storage of engineer munitions,
    • knowledge of the technology, methods and principles of blasting and destruction management and setting up of barriers,
  • knowledge of planning and documentation management for the engineering support management:
    • knowledge of basic engineer calculations to the battalion level,
    • knowledge of planning and conducting of professional training in the preparation of engineer units on the platoon, company and battalion level,
  • is familiar with the principles of training of individuals and units in the field of engineering preparation for engineering units and with new knowledge and trends in the development of engineering support and means of automated command and control to the battalion level,
  • is familiar with the system and principles of deployment of Czech Army´s units to support the IRS CR and the system and principles of engineer support within NATO.

b) professional skills:

  • professionally manage the activities of groups and departments created by engineer units,
  • to search for and analyze the information necessary for his professional activity, to develop variants of solutions and suggestions for the use of forces and resources of the engineer's troops in order to fulfill the tasks of the battalion in joint operations,
  • use ammunition and technology to perform professional tasks, know their capabilities and limitations and be able to skillfully use this knowledge in planning and performing professional tasks,
  • process field projects, implementation plans and documentation for engineering work in joint operations,
  • organize training with robust engineer ammunitions in blasting and mine laying.

c) general competencies:

  • is ready to handle large-scale blasting (OTPTP-V) and mine laying with heavy engineer ammunitions.

 

In the Specialization Military logistics:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of principles and understanding of the theories, concepts and methods of logistics support implementation at tactical level and principles of use of supply units, including relevant standards (STANAG, ISO, ČSN, ČOS), national and NATO,
  • knowledge in the area of ?? materials and techniques management and life cycle management, including creation of reserves and principles of maintenance, repairs, displacements, reliability and diagnostics,
  • deep knowledge of logistics support systems in performing peace and combat tasks, and action within the Integrated Rescue System (IRS),
  • the general principles for the implementation of individual types of troop transport and the responsibilities of officials,
  • knowledge of the system of property acquisition within the Defense Department and its management, including the basic knowledges of logistics support in the field of services,
  • advanced knowledge of property management, proactive service, fuel security and equipment, including the development of analyzes and designing measures to manage logistics,
  • general principles of facility management in military buildings, accommodation of troops and care of real estate infrastructure,
  • basic tasks and procedures in environmental protection, requirements for the ecological behavior of troops,
  • general knowledge of waste management and prevention of environmental accidents.

b) professional skills:

  • plan the tasks of logistic support and the operation of logistic units and equipment on I and II. level, with an emphasis on providing logistics support, material and technology lifecycle management as well as quality management,
  • manage asset management in the field of logistics, including inventory creation, control activities, loss calculations and operational efficiency management,
  • use logistics information systems, analyze and solve logistics security case studies (ISL, OTS, LOGFAS),
  • apply logistic analysis approaches, keep an overview of the logistical situation of units and departments, evaluate asset management and technology management of equipment, including risk management and OSH,
  • fulfill the general principles of facility management in military buildings and the accommodation of troops in the field, including care for immovable infrastructure and hygienic assessment of catering establishments.

c) general competencies:

  • application of HACCP procedures, quality management system and quality control in state property management.

 

In the Specialization Military transportation:

a) expertise:

  • advanced knowledge of principles and understanding of theories, concepts, methods and principles of implementation of logistics support at the tactical level and principles of use of supply units; including relevant standards (STANAG, ISO, ČSN, ČOS), national and NATO / EU regulations,
  • advanced knowledge of the transport and logistical support processes in the performance of peace, combat and IRS tasks, including knowledge of the responsibilities of managing and executive military authorities at tactical, operational and strategic levels of command and control, national and international relocations (Military Transport Authority),
  • extensive knowledge of the basic tactical and technical data of selected means of transport, their transport possibilities and traffic safety standards, including advanced knowledge of basic technical requirements for military pallets, volumes and means for material handling, sorting of military containers and the principles of their management in MO,
  • broad knowledge of legislation governing the business conditions and general transport conditions of civilian carriers,
  • the concept of operational preparation of state territory in the field of military transport,
  • general knowledge of the activities of the central and regional dispatching apparatus of military transport and the system of evaluation of realized transfers and military transport,
  • essential tasks and procedures in environmental protection, requirements for environmental behavior of troops, OSH and fire protection.

b) professional skills:

  • plan the tasks of logistic support and the operation of logistic units and equipment on I and II. with the emphasis on the implementation and fulfillment of the tasks of military transport,
  • to solve partial tasks of military transport in places of permanent dislocation within multinational operations outside the territory of the Czech Republic,
  • use the basic functions of the logistics information system (Traffic Management subsystems, the tracking function) within ISL ACR and MO, when requiring transport, including the use and solution of case studies of logistics support and used information systems for monitoring and coordinating shifts and military transport (ISL , OTS, LOGFAS - ADAMS, EVE, CORSOM, ČD-OLTIS),
  • process sender documentation to secure military transfers, customs declaration of military material, passport clearance and processing of related shipping documents, including specific military,
  • plan and organize military transport, with emphasis on loading / unloading, including the principles of fixing and fastening material and ground military equipment:
    • to predict the need for funds to secure military transport, to control and evaluate their effectiveness and expeditious use,
    • to award public procurement contracts in the field of military transport in a decentralized and centralized manner to secure the sender's shipping requirements and to process the relevant documentation,
    • leading of property management in the field of military transport, including creation of reserves, security of transport services and control activities.
  • plan the training of units and staff (units) in rail transport and provide methodological assistance in its implementation,
  • to apply the requirements for the preparation of the Czech Republic's interest-bearing transport infrastructure for the benefit of the armed forces within the framework of the operational preparation of the state territory.

c) general competencies:

  • completion of special courses according to INA MO ČR / ACR for transport and transportation (ISL Transport), dangerous freight transport, order services, loading and consolidation of inventory in container and 463L palette, public procurement course and material records.

 

In the Specialization Commander of mechanized and tank units:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of principles of military operations:
    • knows the organization, the using possibilities of units and troops in conducting all-spectrum combat,
    • demonstrates the knowledge of the operating environment factors (PMESII-PT), the situation assessment factors (METT-TC) and their influence on the planning and conduct of operations up to the battalion level,
  • knowledge of specialization / expertise:
    • discusses the principles of tactical activities preparation and management of mechanized units,
    • discusses the possibilities of synergy between units of the mechanized force with forces and means of combat support and combat supply support,
  • knows the means of command and control communication and information support of mechanized combat troops, the methodical preparation of the commanders and members of the combat units to the level of the company.

b) professional skills:

  • apply the principles and measures of platoon preparation for the fulfillment of the combat task,
  • organizes and controls platoons in combat within the different types of combat and other tactical activities,
  • is able to lead the subordinate to fulfill the assigned tasks in the uncertainties and risks,
  • applying the principles of force protection and assessing the level of risk of identified threats in operations,
  • planning, organizing, managing and evaluating the training of subordinate commanders and units,
  • actively utilizes communication tools and application software for information support resources (BVIS),
  • organizes synergies with neighboring units and combat and combat support units.

 c) general competencies:

  • knowledge of areas of alliance and national documents dealing with the use of forces and means of armed forces in military and non-military operations,
  • is able to make reasoned decisions about the tasks assigned, formulate its decisions in the tasks for the subordinates and to enforce the decision at the subordinate unit,
  • is competent to carry out the tasks of small arms and ammunition firearms infantry combat vehicles (BMPs).

 

In the Specialization Commander of the reconnaissance units:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of principles of military operations:
    • knows the principles of use of intelligence support in all types of operations,
    • knows the principles of providing intelligence support to the commander of a unit / Task Force at a tactical level during combat planning and management,
    • knows the principles of the organization and structures of the armies of foreign states, their equipment and the ways of their use.
  • knowledge of specialization / expertise:
    • knows the terminology in the field of intelligence,
    • knows the issues of all areas of intelligence in the ACR and their interdependence,
    • knows the organization and determination intelligence, their capabilities and their use,
    • knows the principles of planning and conducting unit training,
    • knows the basic processes and products of intelligence planning and management,
    • knows the processes, tools and products of the planning and management of the ground and air reconnaissance and their relation to the individual stages of the military decision-making process of the commander of the unit / Task Force at a tactical level during combat planning and management,
    • knows the tasks, capabilities and technical and tactical capabilities and limitations of air and ground reconnaissance in all types of operations from a tactical level to the level of the brigade task force,
    • knows the principles of intelligence management and collecting management,
    • knows command and control systems and their SW applications and database tools to support intelligence processes,
    • knows basic physical laws and principles in the field of wave propagation, optoelectronics, electromagnetic spectrum and electro mechanics.

b) professional skills:

  • is able to plan and manage the preparation of reconnaissance units in all types of preparation to the platoon level,
  • is able to independently perform tasks of the reco nnaissance units commander of the in all types of operations to the platoon level,
  • is able to plan, manage and coordinate ground and airborne reconnaissance up to battalion level following the reporting cycle at all phases of combat planning and management and process relevant combat documentation,
  • is able to present intelligence assessment,
  • is able to respond adequately to situations characterized by uncertainty and risk and to act and decide in a broader context with the development of threats to the current and prospective security and operational environment.

c) general competencies

  • capable of work with classified information up to SECRET,
  • orientated in military regulations and military doctrines and publications of the ACR and NATO in relation to intelligence support.

 

In the specialty Intelligent support of the Czech Army:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of principles of military operations:
    • knows the principles of use of intelligence support and tactical intelligence tactics in all types of operations,
    • knows the principles of providing intelligence support to the commander of a unit / Task Force at a tactical level during combat planning and management,
  • knowledge of global security threats, their contexts and causes:
    • knows the methods of obtaining information from both classified and open sources, from public authorities, NATO command authorities and co-operative units,
    • knows the basic concepts of searching, processing and analyzing information, using technologies in the field of database, information and document and graphic systems,
    • knows basic approaches and tools for searching and processing data,
    • knows the intelligence methods of assessing the development of economic, political, military and international conditions as information sources to ensure security and defense issues at tactical level,
    • knows the specifics of the current and prospective operating environment and the possible impacts of historical, political, military, economic, social, infrastructure, information and other contexts on the development of security environment, threats, their causes and consequences,
    • knows the principles of the organization and structures of the armies of foreign states, their equipment and the ways of their use.
  • knowledge of specialization / expertise:
    • knows basic physical laws and principles in the fields of mechanics, wave propagation, optoelectronics, electromagnetic spectrum, electro-mechanics and information technologies,
    • knows terminology in the field of intelligence (intelligence, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, geographic and hydrometeorological support),
    • knows the organization and determination of intelligence; knows the tasks, capabilities and technical and tactical capabilities and limitations of intelligence in all types of operations at a tactical level,
    • knows the principles of planning and conducting intelligence training at a tactical level,
    • knows the processes, tools and products of intelligence planning and management and their continuity the individual stages of the military decision-making process of the commander of the unit / Task Force at the tactical stage during the planning and control of the fight,
    • knows the principles of intelligence management;
    • knows Command and Control Systems and their software applications and database tools to support intelligence processes,
    • knows the system of GeoZ and HMZ military activities, the principle of creating GEOMETOC products and their characteristics.

b) professional skills:

  • is able to fulfill the reporting cycle and the ISR cycle following the operational cycle at the tactical level in all phases of combat planning and management,
  • is able to manage the intelligence process of the battlefield at a tactical level,
  • is capable of evaluating the enemy / opponent and other aspects at tactical level during combat planning and management and processing intelligence related products,
  • is able to present intelligence assessment,
  • is able to adequately respond to situations characterized by uncertainty and risk and to act and decide in a broader context with the development of threats to the current and prospective security and operational environment,
  • is able to interpret and integrate GEOMETOC products into intelligence products in the various phases of the planning process of the operation,
  • the ability to process comprehensive intelligence analyzes.

c) general competencies:

  • capable of working with classified information up to SECRET,
  • orientated in the military regulations and military doctrines and publications of the Czech Armed Forces and NATO in relation to intelligence.

 

In the Specialization Information resource management:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of principles of military operations:
    • knows ways and methods of retrieving information from both classified and open sources, from state authorities, NATO command authorities and co-operative intelligence services,
    • knows the basic concepts of searching, processing and analysis of information, the use of technologies in the field of database, information and document and graphic systems, basic approaches and tools for searching and processing of data,
  • knowledge of global security threats, their contexts and causes:
    • knows a wide range of national interests and goals of the foreign policy of states or coalitions whose foreign policy may be in conflict or hostile security interests of the Czech Republic, NATO, EU and foreign entities with which the Czech Republic is contractually bound,
    • knows the intelligence methods of evaluating the development of economic, political, military and international conditions as information sources for solving the security and defense issues of the Czech Republic in the medium term,
    • knows the possible impacts of historical, political, military, economic, social, infrastructural and informational contexts on the development of the security environment, threats, their causes and consequences,
  • knowledge of specialization / expertise:
    • knows the basic methods, approaches and information processing technologies used in the Military Intelligence,
    • knows the principles of intelligence management, planning of information gathering,
    • knows search and assessment of information evidence, evaluation of information inputs.

b) professional skills:

  • evaluates information obtained from different sources, classifies them, analyzes them and compares them with the purpose of creating plausible conclusions,
  • apply methods of obtaining information from open sources and other information,
  • uses tools for preparing, classifying, selecting, processing and analyzing information files,
  • assessing the security threats of the 21st century, the causes and essence of contemporary armed conflicts.

c) general competencies:

  • orientated in the military regulations and military doctrines and publications of the ACR and NATO in relation to military intelligence and intelligence.

 

In the Specialization Air force staff officer:

a) expertise:

  • organization of staff services at the Air Force units and the structure of the decision-making process within the Air Force (ACS) of the ACR and NATO,
  • principles of Command and Control at the Air Force in applying the Standards, Regulations and Requirements of the ACR of the ACR, ICAO and NATO,
  • aviation and Air Defense weapon systems, airport technical technology, their effects and the principles of use,
  • principles and procedures for resolving and planning activities in crisis situations arising in the air force environment during peace, crisis and war,

In the Specialization Commander of chemical units:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of basic chemical disciplines and related subjects forming the technical profile of the technical and managerial orientation:
    • knowledge of chemical weapons, nuclear weapons, dosimetry, individual and collective protection, decontamination, armament and tactics armament and combat use of chemical troops,
    • knowledge of properties of combat chemical substances, radioactive substances, industrial hazardous substances and selected biological substances,
    • knowledge of the principles of their detection, decontamination and protection against them,
    • knowledge of the spreading of these substances in the field and influence on the activity of the units under conditions of contamination,
  • knowledge of the use of chemical army units, implementation of chemical support measures and protection against weapons of mass destruction:
    • knowledge of composition, organizational structures, material equipment, capabilities, unit tactics of the chemical army at a tactical level,
    • knowledge of the principles of command and control of units and departments of the chemical army;
    • knowledge of the objectives, tasks and principles of the organization of the protection against weapons of mass destruction in the system of force protection, scope and share of the chemical army to fulfill the tasks of protection against weapons of mass destruction.

b) professional skills:

  • the ability to command the preparation and use of specific components of the armed forces at a tactical level and to solve specific activities at the battalion staff:
    • control professional terminology related to chemical and radiation protection, with chemical troops command and control,
    • to work with combat chemical, radioactive and dangerous substances or their mixtures, to be able to detect and analyze them using adequate equipment using individual protection means,
    • to evaluate the devastating effects of weapons of mass destruction and industrial hazardous substances, to organize monitoring of radiation, chemical and biological situations, to organize the tasks of the chemical troops,
    • evaluate the assigned task, carry out material calculations related to the performance of the task and prepare the documentation to the extent necessary for the issuance of a task to the subordinate,
    • to use standard operating procedures at the command unit and within the all-deployable staff.

c) general competencies:

  • is able to apply valid normative acts in the field of handling chemical substances and radiation protection,
  • is able to use software tools to evaluate the effects of weapons of mass destruction.

 

In the Specialization Human resource management:

a) expertise:

  • knowledge of legal regulations relating to personnel work with professional soldiers, ambassadors, state and civil employees,
  • knowledge of the internal regulations concerning personnel management with professional soldiers, ambassadors, state and civil employees,
  • knowledge of the career guidance principles of professional soldiers, ambassadors, state and civil employees,
  • knowledge of the principles of systematization of the position in the state administration and in the MO sector,
  • knowledge of the principles of personnel marketing and issues of implementation of quality of life support in MO,
  • knowledge of the system of training and education of the officers' corps including the career of professional soldiers,
  • knowledge of personnel and legal information systems used in the MO in HR.

b) professional skills:

  • apply legal and internal regulations in the field of personnel work,
  • handle documents for personnel work with professional soldiers, state and civil employees
  • participate in management and management in matters of service,
  • apply the principles of objective evaluation and fair rewarding of employees

    • knowledge of financial control, process of financial control, financial legal issues,
    • knowledge of MO accounting,
    • knowledge of Reporting, Statistics and Controlling (FIS),
  • knowledge of the process of planning financial resources and budgeting:
    • the knowledge of the draft budget chapter and the preparation of the medium-term outlook,
    • knowledge of change management principles in the current year,
  • knowledge of the principles and management of acquisitions of the MO:
    • knowledge of public procurement legislation, contracts and orders,
    • knowledge of the acquisition of property and services in a decentralized manner (small-scale public procurement).

b) professional skills:

  • to prepare the documents for the preparation of the draft budget chapter of the state budget and the medium-term outlook,
  • analyze and propose measures for the efficient and effective use of allocated budget funds,
  • prepare the materials for the realization of personal expenses and apply the principles of salary policy,
  • prepare the underlying accounting records for the MO,
  • to deal with the acquisition of assets and services in a decentralized way and to compare the merits of the variants / tenders submitted,
  • to deal with the implementation of ongoing and follow-up financial control,
  • create analytical, information and evaluation support of the organizational unit,
  • implement activities in public administration bodies in the field of economic support of budgetary organizations.

Údaje o odborné praxi ve studijním programu Řízení a použití ozbrojených sil

Studenti absolvují v průběhu studia ve studijním programu dvě stáže. Každá stáž má 120 hodinovou dotaci, tj. 4 týdny. První vševojsková stáž je zahrnuta v šestém semestru a studenti ji realizují u vojenského útvaru či zařízení Armády České republiky. Tato stáž je zaměřena na praktické ověření znalostí a dovedností spojených s obecným formováním důstojníka - velitele. Následuje odborná stáž na systematizovaném místě v desátém semestru, která je zaměřena na prohloubení odborných dovedností ve zvolené studijní specializaci (vojenské odbornosti) a k přípravě na přechod studenta do praxe. Ve spolupráci s velením Armády České republiky studenti absolvují tyto stáže přednostně u útvarů a zařízení Armády České republiky, popř. i jiných součástí Ministerstva obrany České republiky, u nichž po absolvování studia zahájí kariéru důstojníka. 
Vedle výše uvedených stáží studenti v průběhu studijního programu absolvují praktický výcvik, zahrnutý v předmětech Příprava v poli a Aplikované vojenské technologie, v prvních třech letech studia. Praktický výcvik slouží k formování a praktickému ověření znalostí a dovedností spojených s obecným formováním důstojníka – velitele.  Za 1. ročník tvoří praktický výcvik 140 h (tj. 4,6 týdne), za 2. ročník 140 h (tj. 4,6 týdne) a za 3. ročník 194 h (6,5 týdne).  Převážná část je realizována ve spolupráci s útvary a zařízeními Armády České republiky, dále Velitelstvím výcviku – Vojenskou akademií ve Vyškově.
Zejména praktická výuka/praktická příprava ve 4. ročníku je zaměřena do oblasti specializace. Její rozsah je 210 h, což odpovídá 7 týdnům. Slouží ke složení odborných zkoušek, které jsou nezbytné pro výkon vojenské odbornosti nebo ke zvýšení dovedností a způsobilostí vyplývajících ze specializace.
Pro zvýšení úrovně fyzické kondice studentů a jejich jazykových kompetencí studijní plán zahrnuje celkem 8 týdenních tělovýchovných a jazykových soustředění.

Students undergo two internships during the study program. Each internship has a 120-hour grant, it means 4 weeks. The first internship within the sixth semester and the students will conduct it in Czech army military units. This internship is focused on the practical verification of the knowledge and skills related to the general formation of the officer - commander. This is followed by an internship at position where the future officer will be posted after graduation, in the tenth semester, which is aimed at deepening professional skills in the chosen specialization (military expertise) and preparing for the transition into practice. As it was mentioned  in cooperation with the Army of the Czech Republic, students undergo these internships, at the position where students will start the career.
In addition to the above-mentioned internships, students undergo the practical training included Field Training and Applied Military Technologies during the first three years of study. Practical training is used to form and practice the knowledge and skills associated with the general formation of an officer-commander. For the 1st year, practical training is 140 hours (ie 4.6 weeks), for the 2nd year 140 hours (ie 4.6 weeks) and for the 3rd year 194 hours (6.5 weeks). Most of these are implemented in cooperation with the military units and the Headquarters of Training - the Military Academy in Vyškov.
In particular, practical training in the 4th year focuses on the field of specialization. Its range is 210 h, which corresponds to 7 weeks. They are required to pass the professional examinations necessary for the performance of military expertise or to increase the skills and competencies resulting from the specialization.
To increase the level of physical fitness of students and their language competencies, the study plan includes a total of 8 weekly physical and language training sessions.

Útvary a zařízení Armády České republiky – smlouva se neuzavírá
Perspective

Záměrem je rozvíjet studijní program v návaznosti na kontext vývoje mezinárodního (evropského) bezpečnostního prostředí, jeho aktérů a vazeb, vč. specifik vedení mezinárodních týmů v krizových situacích a participaci na misích a projektech mezinárodního (evropského) krizového managementu. Klíčovým partnerem, jehož požadavky a potřeby by měly být naplněny, je Armáda České republiky a Ministerstvo obrany.

Nezbytným předpokladem rozvoje studijního programu je i zajištění rozvoje pedagogických a vědeckých kompetencí akademických pracovníků, kdy se očekává zvýšený tlak na kvalitní publikace, získávání projektů a grantů.

Důraz bude kladen na rozšíření a prohloubení spolupráce s partnerskými vysokými školami, zejména z členských států NATO, v oblasti vzdělávání a vědecké činnosti (získávání společných projektů).

Oblasti rozvoje studijního programu budou v souladu s dvěma vymezenými klíčovými tematickými oblastmi - vedení operací vojenského a nevojenského charakteru a bezpečnostní hroby vojenského a nevojenského charakteru. Bude se jednat zejména o rozvoj schopností hodnocení rizik, úkolů, schopností a připravenosti ozbrojených sil podílet se na řešení vojenských a nevojenských hrozeb. Podpůrnou roli bude mít vedení lidí a schopnost velitele zvládat zátěžové situace u sebe a svých podřízených při řešení hrozeb.

V návaznosti na požadavky formulované ze strany velení Armády České republiky/vedení Ministerstva obrany České republiky na počty absolventů studijního programu předkladatel předpokládá přijímat ke studiu ve studijním programu 200 až 250 uchazečů o studium ročně.

 

Akreditace studijního programu Ekonomika a management, studijního oboru Řízení a použití ozbrojených sil byla udělena dne 14. března 2014 a do studijního programu a oboru bylo zahájeno přijímání studentů a v následujícím roce, tj. první ročník nastoupil do akademického roku 2015/2016.

Study duties

Státní závěrečnou zkoušku a obhajobu diplomové práce může konat student, který složí zápočty a zkoušky stanovené studijním plánem a který se ke státní závěrečné zkoušce přihlásí.

Státní závěrečná zkouška se stává z části teoretické a z části aplikované. Státní závěrečná zkouška z teoretické části se koná na konci šestého semestru a jejími předměty jsou: Válečné studie a Ozbrojené síly a společnost I.

Aplikovaná část státní závěrečné zkoušky je zařazena na konci desátého semestru. Aplikovaná část proběhne formou kolokviální rozpravy u specializace Velitel dělostřeleckých jednotek z předmětů – Řízení palby dělostřelectva a Taktika dělostřelectva.

Součástí aplikované části státní závěrečné zkoušky je obhajoba diplomové práce.

Komise pro vykonání aplikované části státní závěrečné zkoušky jsou sestavovány tak, aby členem komise byl zástupce z Armády České republiky s odpovídajícím odborným zaměřením a praxí.

Studenti absolvují v průběhu studia ve studijním programu dvě měsíční stáže. V šestém semestru je to měsíční vševojsková stáž u vojenského útvaru či zařízení Armády České republiky. Tato stáž je zaměřena na praktické ověření znalostí a dovedností spojených s obecným formováním důstojníka - velitele. Vedle výše uvedených stáží studenti v průběhu studijního programu absolvují v každém ročníku 4 až 7 týdnů praktického výcviku, krátkodobých stáží a intenzivních školení. Převážná část je realizována ve spolupráci s útvary a zařízeními Armády České republiky, dále Velitelstvím výcviku – Vojenskou akademií ve Vyškově. Zejména praktická výuka/praktická příprava ve 4. ročníku je zaměřena do oblasti specializace. Slouží ke složení odborných zkoušek, které jsou nezbytné pro výkon vojenské odbornosti nebo ke zvýšení dovedností a způsobilostí vyplývajících ze specializace.

Stáže, praktický výcvik/příprava, krátkodobé stáže a intenzivní školení za celou dobu studia tvoří 30,7 týdne.

Pro zvýšení úrovně fyzické kondice studentů a jejich jazykových kompetencí studijní plán zahrnuje celkem 8 týdenních tělovýchovných a jazykových soustředění.

Study duties

Státní závěrečnou zkoušku a obhajobu diplomové práce může konat student, který složí zápočty a zkoušky stanovené studijním plánem a který se ke státní závěrečné zkoušce přihlásí.

Státní závěrečná zkouška se stává z části teoretické a z části aplikované. Státní závěrečná zkouška z teoretické části se koná na konci šestého semestru a jejími předměty jsou: Válečné studie a Ozbrojené síly a společnost I.

Aplikovaná část státní závěrečné zkoušky je zařazena na konci desátého semestru. Aplikovaná část proběhne formou kolokviální rozpravy u specializace Velitel ženijních jednot z předmětů Všeobecná ženijní podpora a Organizace a řízení jednotek ženijního vojska. Součástí aplikované části státní závěrečné zkoušky je obhajoba diplomové práce.

Komise pro vykonání aplikované části státní závěrečné zkoušky jsou sestavovány tak, aby členem komise byl zástupce z Armády České republiky s odpovídajícím odborným zaměřením a praxí.

Studenti absolvují v průběhu studia ve studijním programu dvě měsíční stáže. V šestém semestru je to měsíční vševojsková stáž u vojenského útvaru či zařízení Armády České republiky. Tato stáž je zaměřena na praktické ověření znalostí a dovedností spojených s obecným formováním důstojníka - velitele. Následuje odborná stáž na systematizovaném místě v desátém semestru, která je zaměřena na prohloubení odborných dovedností ve zvolené studijní specializaci (vojenské odbornosti) a k přípravě na přechod studenta do praxe. Ve spolupráci s velením Armády České republiky studenti absolvují tyto stáže přednostně u útvarů a zařízení Armády České republiky, popř. i jiných součástí Ministerstva obrany České republiky, u nichž po absolvování studia zahájí kariéru důstojníka.

Vedle výše uvedených stáží studenti v průběhu studijního programu absolvují v každém ročníku 4 až 7 týdnů praktického výcviku, krátkodobých stáží a intenzivních školení. Převážná část je realizována ve spolupráci s útvary a zařízeními Armády České republiky, dále Velitelstvím výcviku – Vojenskou akademií ve Vyškově. Zejména praktická výuka/praktická příprava ve 4. ročníku je zaměřena do oblasti specializace. Slouží ke složení odborných zkoušek, které jsou nezbytné pro výkon vojenské odbornosti nebo ke zvýšení dovedností a způsobilostí vyplývajících ze specializace.

Stáže, praktický výcvik/příprava, krátkodobé stáže a intenzivní školení za celou dobu studia tvoří 30,7 týdne.

Pro zvýšení úrovně fyzické kondice studentů a jejich jazykových kompetencí studijní plán zahrnuje celkem 8 týdenních tělovýchovných a jazykových soustředění.

Studenti absolvují v průběhu studia ve studijním programu dvě měsíční stáže. V šestém semestru je to měsíční vševojsková stáž u vojenského útvaru či zařízení Armády České republiky. Státní závěrečnou zkoušku a obhajobu diplomové práce může konat student, který složí zápočty a zkoušky stanovené studijním plánem a který se ke státní závěrečné zkoušce přihlásí.

Státní závěrečná zkouška se stává z části teoretické a z části aplikované. Státní závěrečná zkouška z teoretické části se koná na konci šestého semestru a jejími předměty jsou: Válečné studie a Ozbrojené síly a společnost I.

Aplikovaná část státní závěrečné zkoušky je zařazena na konci desátého semestru. Ve specializaci Zpravodajské zabezpečení AČR je tvořeno předměty Zpravodajské zabezpečení AČR I, Zpravodajské zabezpečení AČR III, Zpravodajství I a Operační použití průzkumu a elektronického boje II. Study duties

Státní závěrečnou zkoušku a obhajobu diplomové práce může konat student, který složí zápočty a zkoušky stanovené studijním plánem a který se ke státní závěrečné zkoušce přihlásí.

Státní závěrečná zkouška se stává z části teoretické a z části aplikované. Státní závěrečná zkouška z teoretické části se koná na konci šestého semestru a jejími předměty jsou: Válečné studie a Ozbrojené síly a společnost I.

Aplikovaná část státní závěrečné zkoušky je zařazena na konci desátého semestru. Aplikovaná část proběhne formou kolokviální rozpravy u specializace Řízení lidských zdrojů z předmětů – Řízení a rozvoj lidských zdrojů a Pracovní právo a právo služebního poměru. Součástí aplikované části státní závěrečné zkoušky je obhajoba diplomové práce.

Komise pro vykonání aplikované části státní závěrečné zkoušky jsou sestavovány tak, aby členem komise byl zástupce z Armády České republiky s odpovídajícím odborným zaměřením a praxí.

Studenti absolvují v průběhu studia ve studijním programu dvě měsíční stáže. V šestém semestru je to měsíční vševojsková stáž u vojenského útvaru či zařízení Armády České republiky. Tato stáž je zaměřena na praktické ověření znalostí a dovedností spojených s obecným formováním důstojníka - velitele. Následuje odborná stáž na systematizovaném místě v desátém semestru, která je zaměřena na prohloubení odborných dovedností ve zvolené studijní specializaci (vojenské odbornosti) a k přípravě na přechod studenta do praxe. Ve spolupráci s velením Armády České republiky studenti absolvují tyto stáže přednostně u útvarů a zařízení Armády České republiky, popř. i jiných součástí Ministerstva obrany České republiky, u nichž po absolvování studia zahájí kariéru důstojníka.

Vedle výše uvedených stáží studenti v průběhu studijního programu absolvují v každém ročníku 4 až 7 týdnů praktického výcviku, krátkodobých stáží a intenzivních školení. Převážná část je realizována ve spolupráci s útvary a zařízeními Armády České republiky, dále Velitelstvím výcviku – Vojenskou akademií ve Vyškově. Zejména praktická výuka/praktická příprava ve 4. ročníku je zaměřena do oblasti specializace. Slouží ke složení odborných zkoušek, které jsou nezbytné pro výkon vojenské odbornosti nebo ke zvýšení dovedností a způsobilostí vyplývajících ze specializace. P

Stáže, praktický výcvik/příprava, krátkodobé stáže a intenzivní školení za celou dobu studia tvoří 30,7 týdne.
